The construction industry is one of the major occupational groups with higher rates of people taking their own lives. It is noted for being a particularly stressful industry coupled with current financial worries and pressures this hasn’t improved. Good mental health is vitally important and Harniss has recognised this and embraced the ethos of a good working environment. Harniss have signed up to the Mental health Charter and installed various Mental Health champions within the business.
However we know more can be done, as part of our Harniss Community strategy we raise funds for the Mind charity where this great work extends beyond our bubble but into the local community and beyond. Our Miles for Mind collects all our staff's walks, runs and jogs to see if we can walk around the world, all 24,901 miles!
